The Sunday Best is a documentary project about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. These are people in the margins and in the public eye. These are people who deserve recognition for what they do. We hope you think so too.
We’d like to present more everyday acts of heroism in audio–visual slideshows and to show these portraits to a wider audience both online and on gallery walls. We set out in the morning with our camera bags and our audio gear to find interesting stories—not advertisers.
The Sunday Best is a multimedia experiment currently being updated every Sunday. Part of that experiment is in portraiture. By donating to this site, you are participating in the other part of the experiment: To find out whether media projects can be crowdfunded through the collective cooperation and trust of a network of donors.
